YASH Blue Spring 2017

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! I’m Darcy Woods, author of the YA contemporary romance, Summer of Supernovas, and your vintage dress-wearing hostess for this leg of the hunt. ūüėÄ

This bi-annual event was first organized by author¬†Colleen Houck¬†as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors…and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize–one lucky winner will receive¬†one book from each author on the hunt in my team!¬†But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 5 days!

Go to the¬†YA Scavenger Hunt¬†page to find out all about the hunt.¬†There are FIVEBlue Team ¬†contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I’m a part of the BLUE¬†TEAM! But there is also a red team, a gold team, a pink team, and a purple team for a chance to win a whole different set of books!

If you’d like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and
see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page.

Directions:¬†Below, you’ll notice that I’ve listed my¬†favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the blue¬†team, and then add them up (this isn’t a math test so feel free to whip out those calculators!).

Entry Form:¬†Once you’ve added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize! Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.

Rules:¬†Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian’s permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by¬†Sunday, April 9th, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

Headshot+photographer+charlotte+nc-lindsay+wynne+photography-author+headshot-Shaila+Patel+08Today, I’m wildly excited¬†to be hosting Shaila Patel! Shaila is a pharmacist by training, a medical-office manager by day, and a writer by night. SOULMATED, her debut young adult paranormal romance won the 2015 Chanticleer Book Reviews Paranormal Awards in YA. A huge fan of epilogues, she also enjoys traveling, craft beer, tea, and reading in cozy window seats. She writes from her home in the Carolinas.

Liam Whelan, an Irish empath prince, is being forced by his parents to find his empath soul mate. The rare union will solidify his family’s power and political standing in the empath community, but Liam couldn’t care less. When he comes to America to search for this elusive soulmate, he’s drawn to Laxshmi Kapadia, an Indian American girl who is not an empath. Now he has to decide just what he’ll sacrifice to be with her if he can’t prove she’s The One, while Laxshmi has to decide if he’s worth going against her own traditional mother’s expectations to be with him.

Are you as absolutely intrigued with this book as I am?! You can buy it here!

Follow Shaila on Twitter,¬†Facebook, or Instagram! You can thank me later. ūüėČ

I’ve always found numbers rather fascinating. (Just don’t ask me to math them.) So it’s not surprising that a certain author (ahem, moi), who wrote a book about astrology, would find numerology equalling¬†enthralling. Particularly,¬†the Roman numeral XXII. *suggestive eyebrow waggle*¬†The number¬†22¬†is considered to be a master number in numerology. Methodical & practical–it’s the most powerful of ALL the master numbers. It¬†can even transform¬†goals into reality. Also?¬†May 22 happens to be my birthday. Which is pretty rad. ūüėČ And I can guarantee, there are waaaay more than 22 books on my gifty wish list!

To continue on your numerical hunt for a jackpot of books, you’ll want to check out the next author on Team Blue, the magnificent¬†Lea Nolan!
